Little Willow

Weep little willow
Weep thy fears
Swell the river's
Earth-worn tears.

Hush little willow
Breathe night's breeze
That doth tousle
Your bare leaves.

Sleep little willow
Quench thy cares
In lagoons
Of night air.

Sweet little willow
Flutt'ring by
Love's nightingale
Night's butterfly.

Bend little willow
Bend thy wood
In the whirlwind
Of thy love.

Bend little willow
Bend thy wood
Thou wouldst weep
If thou could.
