Dear Owl

Dear Owl,
Would thou knowest me
If I should call again
Upon your nook, within your wood
To find the bough where you once stood?
Oh wouldst that that rough bough might bear
Your owl-heart still quick-beating there!

We shared so many words
Of wit and wisdom sung
Beneath the moon - its tangled beams
When I was wrecked on stormy seas
Your lighthouse-eyes, they guided me
Reflecting all the love
Heaven shines.

I liked you owl, inside your nook
I liked you owl, upon your wood
I liked you owl, from on my sea
I liked you owl, because you, owl, liked me.
