Riddle (Bubble)

I am light
But do not illuminate
Texture of water
Symbol of beauty
Bursting with life
And endless edges
Window into worlds
Whole more than hole
Oceans create me
Empty and full
Reflective in nature
Solid and see-through.
Perfect inside and out
I do not come in halves
I have a centre
Though no middle
Contain chords
But am not music
I have no heart
But lift the hearts of others
Alight and enlightening
I cling to myself
Quintessence of the free.
One shape
Two sides
Icon of unity
Portrait of paradise
People live inside me
Arriving from nowhere
Returning to nothing
Created and destroyed
A billion times a day.
Thin as imagination
Light as an idea
Plaything of rainbows
Delicate as a spider’s web
Precious as a dream
To love me is to lose me
To touch me is to spoil
All my points are equal
To see me is to smile!
