What is Love?

The good grain

Once there was an unhappy miller
He went down to the mill and looked upon the grindstone:
‘If I say to my right hand, Go right! it goes left
If I say to my left hand, Go left! it goes right
The earth has surely disarranged my heart!’, he said
‘Some things scramble the senses
I have decided, here and now in this mill
To make a forfeit of my life.’
Next to the miller was a sack of grain:
Would you discard a sack of grain
Because of one bad husk?
‘No’, answered the miller, ‘That I would never do.’
Then why would you throw away all that is good
When God has chosen to keep you
Though you contain but a grain of truth?
The miller had no words to say to the sack
So he went on his way.
