Yearning

Devotion is adoration worth our sacrifice
Paradise trembles with forgiveness
Before the first syllables of repentance are offered
Joy is the overwhelming desire
To create something better than ourselves
As earth disarranges the heart
Death and Earth have much in common
But love, the most mysterious of things
Conduits of creation – all
Who exists, who does not yearn for it?
