What is Love?
What is Love?
Humble jumble moon
The moon said
Who am I?
But a humble jumble moon
A cold star
Who yearns for it’s neighbour?'
A distant supernova heard, and answered:
Soul-pleasing sound!
Your spirit is not invisible to me
See how we stars inspire each other
See how we commune every night!
But I cannot hug myself, said the moon
And who can hug the sky?
I do not even make my own light!
Quintessential creature!
Do you think Heaven measures time like you?
Worrying about yourself
Is a waste of every minute
You have star-quality
Burn out, not in!
Dazzle your spectators!
Bring joy to all
Who gaze in your direction!
But Time is finite
I am mortal
What is my purpose?’
To inspire someone who inspires someone
Universe within; universe without
We are all part of the same wonderful soul!
The moon in her orbit sighed:
If I am mad
Then this is the loveliest madness
I have ever known.
