Autobiography of a Madman
Autobiography of a Madman
Broken Brain
The broken brain's a diamond
Fractured sharp and light
Multiplying silent woes
All the dismal night.
Little shards of misery
Piercing everywhere
Her naked soul upon the bed
For consciousness to bear.
How I wish at every prism
A ray of hope would fire
Exquisite as a soloist
From out an angel choir.
Then a million colours
With love and beauty stained
Might spill from out each crystal piece
Like rainbows out of rain.
O may that God's volcano Love
Should melt me down again
Remoulding me in heaven
A diamond brain.
