What is Love?

Three wise ones

Once there was a church
That sprang from the earth
Source of stone and coloured light
A humble jumble of a jigsaw
Made by bizarre jazz hands
Inside the cathedral
The three wise ones met:
None may resist me!, announced the Id
None may move me!, said the Super Ego
None may dispute me!, proclaimed Reality.
And no-one could agree
On anything!
So the priest ordered them out:
‘Go!’, he said.
And there was an earthquake
And the spires came down.
And from the rubble, only two emerged:
In the artist
It’s Reality that gives
Falsehood’s constraints
Finally
Unchained.
