A dealer said to a deck of cards:
Though you are coy, I have seen your heart
Your spirit is not invisible to me
I have observed your Sorrow
Your Secret Shame
Your Joys, your Queens
Your Kings, your Knaves
You have hidden corners
Losers and winners are welcome here
Your Smiles and Laughs
Full of surprise!
‘How dare you!’, said the deck
‘Who are you to prophesize about me?’
The dealer replied:
I only saw what you revealed to me
Though I admit, at the time
You declared it only a game.
