Failure

When you’re successful
Everyone wants to be near you
When you fail
Nobody dares come close.
But those who are truly wise
Are those who have truly failed
And those who are wonderfully wise
Are those who have wonderfully failed!
The older we become
Faulty and failure-ridden
The more our true self is revealed
When the Body is broken
The Spirit is free
Only then
Do we recognise each other
And what we recognise in each other
Must already be
In ourselves.
